Beard Papa’s, the Japanese pastry chain famous around the world for its fresh cream puffs, quietly opened in Pacific Mall in Markham in June. A steady stream of fanatics has already made a pilgrimage to the second floor food court for the fist-sized puff pastry (crunchy on the outside, light on the inside) filled to order with homemade custard.
